Linda invented the method to use electronic cutters to cut gum paste for cake decorations and now it's even better.  The Silhouette has a fabulous feature called "print and cut" that lets you print your design on gum paste or an icing sheet (using an edible image printer), then cut out the outline with the Silhouette.  This really adds that special "something extra" for fantastic cakes.

A great alternative to gum paste for your cake designs is icing sheets. I have tried the many brands of icing sheets available and have found the Icing Image brand to be excellent for this method. They have bright white icing sheets that are great for the print and cut images. They also have a line of colored icing sheets that are very easy to work with.
